The Swedish Public Employment Service's current assessments and forecasts for occupations
The Swedish Public Employment Service has changed the method for making occupational forecasts. The new method provides assessments of current job opportunities and the recruitment situation within occupations, both at the regional and national level. In addition to a current assessment, there is also a forecast of how the demand for labor within each occupation is expected to develop over a five-year period. The occupations are primarily based on the Swedish Standard Classification of Occupations (SSYK 2012) at the four-digit level. However, an occupation may correspond to part of, or a combination of, occupational groups according to SSYK at the four-digit level. Occupations in yrkesbarometern can also be linked to specific occupational names under different SSYK. These relations are available in Jobtech's taxonomy.
